What is PromptKey Academy?
PromptKey Academy is an online educational platform focused on AI engineering. We provide hands-on learning through lessons, code examples, and project tutorials covering topics like RAG systems, AI agents, and testing frameworks. This is educational content only—not professional training or certification.
Who is this for?
This platform is designed for software engineers and developers who want to learn AI engineering concepts. Basic programming knowledge (Python or JavaScript) is recommended. The content is educational and self-paced, suitable for independent learners exploring AI development.
How long does it take to complete?
The curriculum contains approximately 100 hours of content. Completion time varies significantly based on your pace, prior experience, time commitment, and learning goals. Some students finish quickly, others take much longer. You have lifetime access to learn at your own speed.
Is this a live cohort or self-paced?
It's completely self-paced. You get lifetime access to all content and can start, stop, or revisit lessons anytime. Pro members have access to optional monthly office hours for Q&A, but all core learning is asynchronous.
Will this help me get a job in AI?
We provide educational content to help you learn AI engineering concepts and build projects. However, we make NO guarantees about employment, job placement, or career outcomes. Your success depends on many factors including your effort, prior experience, market conditions, and factors beyond our control. Use this as one resource among many in your learning journey.
Pricing & Billing
Can I try before I buy?
Yes! We offer a 7-day free trial for Pro plans (no credit card required for trial). The Free tier is always available with access to view curriculum content and browse the platform.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free tier allows you to browse learning materials and view the curriculum. Pro unlocks hands-on workshop access, code exercises, practice questions, and community features. See our pricing page for complete feature comparison. Note: Neither tier guarantees any specific learning outcomes or career results.
What is your refund policy?
We offer refunds within 30 days of your INITIAL purchase only. This applies to first-time subscribers. Refunds are NOT available for subscription renewals or after the 30-day window. To request a refund, email admin@promptkey.ai with your account details.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription anytime from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period—you'll retain access until then. No refunds are provided for unused time in the current period.
Do you offer student discounts?
Yes! Students with a valid .edu email address receive 50% off Pro plans. Email us at admin@promptkey.ai with proof of current enrollment (student ID or enrollment letter) to request the discount code.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) processed securely through Stripe. We do not accept PayPal, cryptocurrency, or bank transfers at this time.
Technical
What programming languages do I need to know?
Most content uses Python (for AI/ML concepts) and JavaScript/TypeScript (for web applications). We provide code examples and templates, but you should be comfortable with at least one programming language. This is not a beginner programming course—basic coding knowledge is assumed.
Do I need expensive AI API credits?
Many lessons can be completed using free tiers of AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere) or open-source models. However, some advanced features and projects may require paid API usage, which is YOUR responsibility and separate from subscription costs. We teach cost optimization but cannot guarantee your API expenses.
What tools/software do I need?
You need: (1) A computer with internet access, (2) A code editor like VS Code, (3) Git for version control, (4) Terminal/command line access. Pro members get access to in-browser code editors for some workshops. Some projects may require cloud service accounts (AWS, Vercel, etc.) which you'll need to set up yourself.
Can I use open-source models instead of paid APIs?
Yes! Many lessons can be completed with open-source models (Llama, Mistral, etc.) running locally or on free cloud resources. We show different approaches, but you're responsible for setting up your own development environment and managing any associated costs.
Do you provide technical support?
Free tier users have access to community forums. Pro members get priority support via Discord and can attend monthly office hours. We provide general guidance on course content but cannot debug your personal code, troubleshoot your environment setup, or provide one-on-one tutoring.
Content & Projects
What projects will I build?
The curriculum includes tutorials for building projects like RAG chatbots, multi-agent systems, evaluation frameworks, and more. These are educational projects with example code and guidance. The actual quality and completeness of YOUR projects depends entirely on your effort, skill level, and time investment. Example projects are for learning purposes, not production deployment.
Are solutions provided for projects?
Yes, we provide reference implementations and example code for educational purposes. However, the goal is for YOU to build and understand the concepts yourself. Simply copying solutions won't help you learn. Pro members can submit code for general feedback during office hours.
Do I get certificates?
Pro members receive completion certificates for finishing modules and the full course. These certificates are for personal recognition only and do NOT represent: (1) Professional certification, (2) Accredited credentials, (3) Guarantee of skill level, or (4) Employment qualification. They're simply acknowledgment that you completed the course content.
Can I show these projects to employers?
You own any code you write for projects. You may include them in your portfolio, GitHub, or show them to employers. However, we make NO claims about how employers will view these projects, and we do NOT guarantee they will help you get a job. Employment decisions depend on many factors beyond course projects.
How often is content updated?
We aim to update content regularly to reflect AI industry changes. However, the AI field evolves rapidly, and some content may become outdated. We make reasonable efforts to keep content current but cannot guarantee all material reflects the absolute latest developments at all times.
Support & Community
How do I get help if I'm stuck?
Free users can use community forums to ask questions and help each other. Pro members get access to priority Discord channels and monthly office hours for Q&A. We provide general guidance on course concepts but cannot offer personalized tutoring, debug your personal code, or provide career advice.
Is there a community?
Yes! We have a Discord community where students can discuss topics, share projects, and help each other. Pro members get access to additional channels. Please note: Community advice is peer-to-peer and not official guidance from PromptKey Academy. Use community suggestions at your own discretion.
What can I ask during office hours?
Office hours are for general questions about course content, concepts, and learning approaches. We CANNOT provide: personalized career counseling, code debugging for personal projects, job search assistance, or guarantees about learning outcomes. Questions are answered on a best-effort basis within time constraints.
How quickly will I get support responses?
Response times vary. We aim to respond within 2-3 business days but cannot guarantee specific response times. Complex questions may take longer. For urgent account or billing issues, email admin@promptkey.ai.
Enterprise
How does enterprise pricing work?
Enterprise plans start at $99/user/month with a minimum of 5 users and annual commitment. Pricing includes Pro features plus team management and analytics. Contact sales@promptkey.ai for custom quotes. Enterprise plans do NOT include guaranteed training outcomes or skill certification for your team.
Can we customize content for our tech stack?
Enterprise customers can request custom workshop topics based on their needs. We'll make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee we can create content for all possible tools or frameworks. Custom content development may require additional fees and time.
Do you provide completion tracking for our team?
Yes, enterprise plans include an admin dashboard showing team member progress, completion rates, and time spent. However, we cannot guarantee these metrics correlate with actual skill acquisition or job performance—they simply track content engagement.
Can enterprise plans replace formal training programs?
No. PromptKey Academy provides supplemental educational content. It is NOT a substitute for formal training, professional development programs, or accredited education. It should be used as one resource among many for team upskilling.

What results can I expect?
Individual results vary significantly and depend on your effort, prior experience, time commitment, market conditions, and many factors beyond our control. We make NO guarantees about learning outcomes, skill acquisition, job placement, career advancement, or income potential. Educational content is provided 'as is' for self-directed learning.
Is this accredited or certified training?
No. PromptKey Academy is NOT accredited by any educational institution and does NOT provide professional certifications. Completion certificates are for personal recognition only and carry no official weight. This is informal online education, not accredited training.
Who owns the course content?
All course content (videos, text, code examples, curriculum) is owned by PromptKey Academy and protected by copyright. You may use it for personal learning during your active subscription but may NOT redistribute, sell, or share it. See Terms of Service for full details.
What if the platform shuts down?
We operate month-to-month and make reasonable efforts to maintain the Service. However, we reserve the right to discontinue the Service at any time with 30 days notice. If we shut down, we are NOT obligated to provide refunds for remaining subscription time beyond what's required by law. Download or save any important work as you go.
Can I get a job with just this course?
No single course, including ours, is sufficient for job placement. Getting hired requires: portfolio work, practical experience, networking, interview skills, market conditions, and luck. Use PromptKey Academy as ONE resource in your learning journey, not your only preparation. We make NO job placement guarantees.
